Expand your skilled performance toolkit
Intelligent Action creates learning experiences for thinkers, doers, movers, shakers and creatives who seek continuous improvement in the skills they have, increased capacity under pressure, and alternative avenues to overcoming blocks to progress and performance.
Rejecting the ‘don’t think, just do it’ myth, we teach you how to work smarter not harder: how to skilfully direct focus, attention and memory to increase efficiency, consistency, enjoyment and success.

Master new strategies through an embodied approach to thinking and performance
At Intelligent Action, we take an embodied cognitive approach to teaching performance processes and skills. This means that thinking (cognition) isn’t seen as something that only happens in a brain inside a skull. It’s something that happens in a body, in a place, in a context, using tools, and with other people.
Examples of this are how someone might count to ten while touching their fingers or how a small plastic sign on a mountain bike track might help someone remember which way to turn or save them from plummeting head first into the great unknown.
Drawing on the latest research in embodied cognitive science, our initial offerings include online courses, live talks and workshops, and digital media channels. Each experience provides an expanded toolkit for:
- ongoing improvement and collaborative processes;
- increased resilience under stress;
- robust resources to draw on when things aren’t “just happening” by themselves; and
- sometimes just a quiet few moments to pause and marvel at the incredible things a human mind and body can do, including your own.
